50 Cent Refutes Aziz Ansari’s Story, Says He Knows What a Grapefruit Is

On Aziz Ansari's 2012 stand-up comedy special 'Dangerously Delicious,' Ansari told a bit where he describes having dinner with a friend when he noticed that rapper 50 Cent was sitting at a table near them.

"50 Cent is sitting over there and I need to hear everything he says," Ansari told a live audience. "And 50 Cent did not disappoint."

He then continued the story saying that 50 Cent ordered a grapefruit soda and that the waiter later brought over the soda.

"And then 50 Cent said the greatest thing anyone could ever say when they see a grapefruit soda. He looks at the waiter and he goes, 'Why isn't this purple?' It took me a few seconds and then I realized, 'Oh my god, 50 Cent has no idea what a grapefruit is!'"

Jezebel reports that 50 Cent did a reddit AMA on Tuesday and addressed Ansari's story.

"my grandma used to get me grapefruit juice as a kid. he's a comedian. Ima have his ass whoop if he keeps saying that lol," he typed to a reader.

So there you have it: 50 Cent does know what a grapefruit is.
