Ariana Grande Unveils ‘Sweetener’ Artwork, Teases ‘The Light Is Coming’
The light is coming, and so is Ariana Grande's next studio album.
The "No More Tears Left To Cry" singer, whose Sweetener will drop later this month, completed a jigsaw puzzle on the @Sweetener Instagram account Monday night (June 18) that finally yielded the entire project's artwork (you can check it out here).
The image — a continuation of this era's upside-down motif — finds Ari defying the laws of gravity over warm background tones and while sporting a sleek, slicked-back platinum blonde ponytail.
And fans seemed to love the look.
"So.. why else is throwing away their makeup; we OBVIOUSLY can’t get our highlighter like this... sigh," one follower joked, while another noted "You really make me want to get a moon tattoo. I’m tempted."
Ari also dropped a little preview of "The Light Is Coming," her forthcoming collaboration with Nicki Minaj, with the caption: "hello twenty four hours until you can preorder sweetener and hear / see ‘the light is coming."
And again, fans went wild over the short clip, which finds Grande — in black-and-white tones — strutting across a set until she turns and smolders for the camera.
"i’m so ready for the music video, i already know i’m gonna love it," one follower wrote, while another noted "IM SO READY FOR THIS ALBUM BUT MY WIG ISNT."
Grande and Minaj also collaborate on "Bed," a track off of Minaj's forthcoming "Queen."
