Is Ariana Grande’s ‘thank u, next’ Music Video Coming Friday?
Ariana Grande gave us something to be thankful for during the holiday last week when she started relentlessly teasing the music video for her new No. 1 single, "thank u, next." She gave us all kinds of clues about what to expect from the highly anticipated visuals, which pay homage to classic female-fronted romcoms like Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and Bring It On, but there was one detail she has not been upfront about: the release date.
According to TMZ, we won't have to wait long to see the finished product. Sources close to the pop star have told the outlet the video is set to drop on Friday (November 30). The sources also divulged another juicy secret: the video will reportedly feature a cameo from one of the Kardashian sisters showing off her best dance moves.
The appearance should come as no surprise, since the photos and video clips the 25-year-old has posted reveal cameos from Mean Girls actors Jonathan Bennett and Bethany Byrd, Legally Blonde's Jennifer Coolidge, fellow pop star Troye Sivan, and even YouTuber Gabi DeMartino, who has made a career out of spoofing the singer.
The latest piece of promo material to whet our appetites came out today (November 27) and is a spot-on recreation of a famous Mean Girls scene mixed with real-life rumors (and truths) that have circulated the internet about Ari's life.
Check it out below and mark your calendars for Friday!
