Chris Carrabba Gives Taylor Swift a Cover of ‘Mean’ for Her Birthday
To celebrate Taylor Swift's 24th birthday today (Dec. 13), Chris Carrabba (lead singer of Dashboard Confessional) and his new band Twin Forks recorded a cover of her song 'Mean.'
The band sent the much more pop-centric and danceable cover to T-Swizzle directly via Twitter, but you can also check it through SoundCloud below. Talk about a pretty sweet birthday present.
The song is from Taylor's third album, 'Speak Now,' which was released in 2010. It is a response to negative criticism she's received, specifically from one critic who accused her of singing off-key during her performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
Hopefully her 24th birthday is a good one!
