We need a real President! We need a real President!

The return of Star Wars has made heroes out of Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, but — no surprise — Donald Trump's recent allusion to the fictional galaxy casts him as a villain as fearsome as Darth Vader.

Trump, a favorite for the GOP's 2016 Presidential nomination, posted a smear advertisement to his Facebook page yesterday (December 29) in which he bizarrely pits images of tragedy against Pres. Obama's single, isolated mention of Star Wars in a press conference. The cherry-picked point registered about as subtly as the demolition of Alderaan, and Trump captioned the 15-second clip above "We need a real President!" Uhh, does he forget the two-term incumbent can't run again in 2016...?

"We are in a serious war," a bold headline reads at the beginning of the reel, before clips of fear-mongering news broadcasts point to threats of ISIS, mass shootings and counterfeit passports. Then, after a pause that reads "Our President is busy with another war," the video clumsily turns to a blink-and-you'll-miss-it mention of Star Wars by President Obama.

"Time for a real leader with priorities," the message concludes.

Anyone have a spare straw for the shamed Apprentice castoff to grasp at...?
