Dustin Diamond of ‘Saved by the Bell’ Arrested on Weapons Charge

Dustin Diamond, best known for playing the role of Screech on 'Saved by the Bell,' was arrested in Wisconsin on Friday. The Hollywood Reporter says that he was charged with possession of a switchblade, carrying a concealed weapon and first degree reckless endangerment.

It is reported that the 37-year-old actor was involved in an altercation in a bar before being questioned by police.

According to the City of Port Washington police department, "a male, age 37, had stabbed another male patron and left the bar in a white SUV with his 27-year-old girlfriend. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and suspects and took both into custody. Further investigation revealed the suspects were in the Grand Ave Saloon where an altercation took place."

Diamond was a part of the 'Saved by the Bell' cast throughout the early years, between 1989 and 1993.
