Christmas may be over, but K-pop fans are still celebrating.

On December 26, EXO released their annual winter album Universe alongside a music video for their lead single of the same title.

The album consists of eight tracks including three versions of "Universe" - a Chinese version, a CD version and the original.

"Universe" is a ballad showcasing the soft and sentimental side of EXO fans usually see. The song expresses the members' thoughts on finding their true love at all ends of the universe.

According to Soompi, the track managed to top major realtime charts in Korea just moments after its release, "solidifying their position as one of the most popular boy groups" in K-pop.

Though the album was set to originally release on December 21, SM Entertainment delayed the album by a week in light of SHINee's Jonghyun's passing.

Universe is EXO's third winter album following Miracles in December (2013), Sing for You, (2015), For Life (2016) and a single titled "December, 2014" as part of their 2014 EXOLOGY CHAPTER 1: THE LOST PLANET (Live) album.
