Ian McKellen can now add the role of Beauty and the Beast's Cogsworth to his impressive acting roster.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the esteemed actor is set to play Cogsworth in the upcoming live-action remake of the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast. The movie, which is being directed by Bill Condon, stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston.

McKellen will be playing the role of the Beast's butler-turned-talking-clock.

As for Disney's other live-action remake plans, they've definitely got a whole bunch in the works. There's the newly announced live-action Pinocchio, which has no cast or crew yet attached and so is in the extremely early stages but will reportedly be based on the original book from the 19th century, rather than the animated version most people are familiar with. Then there's the live-action version of Winnie the Pooh, which is set to be directed by Alex Ross Perry and will focus on Christopher Robin as an adult who makes his return to the Hundred Acre Wood. Then there's also a live-action version of Mulan in the works, with a script by Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek that is based on the legend of Hua Mulan. Both Chris Bender and J.C. Spink reportedly signed on to produce that movie.

So, Disney definitely has plenty of remakes that'll be coming out over the next century, all due to the successes of their predecessors -- Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella.
