Kate Upton was not pleased that Terry Richardson released her now-viral "Cat Daddy" video without her consent.

Speaking to Vogue UK, the 21-year-old model recalled that while the vid put her on the map and made her into the household name she is today, it was not cool the way the infamous photographer went about releasing it — and she stood up to him.

"I was like, that was disrespectful, you could have told me!" the Other Woman actress recalled telling Richardson, though she admits that things ended up working out.

"Now, obviously, it's fine," she said.

The video, which you can watch above, shows the buxom blonde doing the "Cat Daddy" dance in a skimpy bikini, repeated in the video in slow motion. Since Terry Richardson uploaded it to his TerryTV channel in May 2012, the vid has since racked up over 22 million views and was, many feel, the catalyst of Kate Upton's career.

While it seems like Upton and Richardson are on okay terms now, this is far from the first time that the photographer has been accused of some unsavory behavior. While the photographer's work has always been controversial, he has also been accused of sexually exploiting his models, the Guardian reports.

Terry Richardson has worked with everyone from Miley Cyrus to Selena Gomez to Lady Gaga to Rihanna and many, many more A-list stars — often in eyebrow-raising, provocative photo shoots that leave the internet buzzing.
