RIP Stan Wars: Madonna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry Take Peacemaking Photo at 2015 Met Gala

Did you know? The Met Gala happened this evening. It's probably even still happening at some afterparties, actually. Surely Rihanna is twirling and twerking in her egg yolk dress somewhere in the city right now.

You know what else happened this evening? This.

Oh. That photo? Why, that's just Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Madonna huddled together in one room, warmly embracing each other in one casual, empowering gesture of #PrismaticRebelARTPOP.

"#breaktheinternet2k15," Perry tweeted earlier tonight, along with her own photo of the three-way peacemaking ceremony.

What even happens now? Where do we go from here?

Do the Twitter troll accounts created solely for the purpose of 'slaying ya faves' and inciting pop diva flame wars between fans now simply melt into cyberspace and drain out into the sea? Do "Born This Way" and "Express Yourself" now play side-by-side within party playlists with nary a side-eye from partygoers? Have Gagaloo's #StopTheDramaStartTheMusic #PromoteOnlineKindness dreams finally come true once and for all?

How did it even go down? Did Madge juggle some Koons balls while Katy applauded for Gaga, who was busy unleashing an almighty roar?

Perhaps this meeting of pop legends has been prophesied all along: The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the KatyCat will purr next to the Little Monster and the Almighty Madge will lead them. And from this day forth, there shall be peace in the pop world forevermore. Amen.
