From one boy band to another, Nathan Sykes has some words of wisdom for One Direction.

The Wanted singer recently launched his solo career with his new single, "More Than You'll Ever Know."

“I think they’re last album sounded brilliant," he said. "But I think when you’re a percentage of a group, you’ve also just got to give yourself some time where you can be 100 percent for yourself. You’ve got to do the stuff that you always wanted to do and have fun with it, rather than be 20 percent of a boy band.”

Pretty solid advice, if you ask us. Just look at Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé, who stepped out of their groups to have mega-successful solo careers. (We just pictured Zayn headlining the Super Bowl — and we don't hate it.)

Speaking of One Direction and the Wanted, Nathan also confirmed that the bands' feud is officially over.

"I was out with Harry in L.A. recently. We were both a bit merry, but we had an [amazing] embrace," he told the Mirror.

He also clarified that he wasn't one of the singers throwing shade, telling the site, "I never had a problem with any of the 1D boys and never got involved with the Twitter fights, it wasn’t me. I think sometimes you can be a victim of hatred through association. I was like, ‘I didn’t say anything.’”

Now that Nathan's cleared that up, he can focus on his solo career. (And we can keep watching his stunning "More Than You'll Ever Know" video on repeat.)
