One of our favorite things about the holiday season is the inordinate amount of Christmas song covers our favorite artists wind up releasing. From Nick Jonas giving us an a capella version of 'I'll Be Home for Christmas' to Little Mix's fantastic version of 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),' there's certainly been no shortage of amazing covers this year. But we thought we'd go the entire season without hearing one of our favorites: 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' -- until, that is, both One Direction and Ariana Grande and Michael Buble covered the classic. And then we were left asking ourselves the difficult question: Which version is better?

When One Direction were on Jimmy Fallon's show recently, we were hoping for some kind of performance from them, but we had no idea that we'd luck out this hard. Decked out in Christmas sweaters, the boys played classroom instruments while performing 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' along with Jimmy and the Roots. It was a non-traditional performance that totally captured the fun, high-spirited feel of the song and was absolutely perfect for the band themselves.

Meanwhile, Ariana and Michael took a more formal approach. The pair performed the song for Michael's televised Christmas special. Their stellar vocals were on full display, and they sounded amazing together. It was a perfect song for an evening that was full of fun and festivities, and we loved seeing two powerhouse vocalists share an awesome moment on stage together.
