Pete Davidson's getting slammed for a newly surfaced joke in which he seems to make light of Ariana Grande's May 2017 concert bombing, months before he and Grande began dating.

The joke in question stemmed from a set at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles in October 2017, according to the Sunday Mirror.

During his performance, Davidson allegedly joked that the bombing must have indicated to Grande how famous she'd become because "Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack at her concert."

Charlotte Hodgson, the mother of a 15-year-old victim, told The Mirror, "For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting and I think he should publicly apologize for it."

Another mother added: “I think it’s absolutely disgusting, I’m shocked...This isn’t something to joke about, it was a terrorist attack targeted at children. You don’t joke about things like that in a stand-up comedy show...I’m still suffering on a daily basis, I still have nightmares, and Ariana herself has suffered from PTSD. What the hell?”

A lone attacker detonated a bomb at the end of Grande's May 2017 show in Manchester, England —the blast eventually killed more than 20 and injured dozens more. Many children and young people were among the victims.
