Taylor Swift 'Drawing Up Plays' for Chiefs According to Mahomes

Taylor Swift is "really interested in football."

The 34-year-old pop sensation is dating NFL star Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes, who is Travis' teammate on the Kansas City Chiefs, has revealed that Swift actually has really good knowledge of the sport.

"She’s really interested in football. She asks a lot of great questions," the 28-year-old athlete told NBC Sports' Chris Simms.

The NFL star subsequently explained that the "Karma" singer has developed a keen interest in the strategic side of the sport.

Mahomes, who won the Super Bowl alongside Kelce in February, said: "She’s been drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."

Kelce has become one of the most talked-about athletes in the world since he began dating Swift in 2023, and Mahomes noted that the pop star has helped to make the Kansas City Chiefs a "worldwide team."

"[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fan base," he said.

Mahomes also admitted to being wowed by the pop icon's down-to-earth attitude and work ethic, explaining that she's always "working on something."

"I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long," Mahomes stated.

"She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks," he added.
