As even the most casual Ariana Grande observer knows, the "Break Free" singer is seldom seen without her signature ponytail (and her "quirky" cat ears borrowed from a sorority girl's phoned-in Halloween costume — but maybe she's phasing those out? Soon? Please?). But Ariana shared a very different, Mad Men-esque look on Tuesday night (June 23).

Posted with the caption, "whattttttttt iffffff #heymamawelcometothe60s," the singer let her Arianators see what she'd look like in a shorter-length flip with bangs. It turns out she'd look adorable, and no big surprise there. She could slap on Maya Rudolph's Rachel Dolezal wig and, against all odds, Ariana would make it work.

She continued the fashion show with another shot, captioned "the worrrrrst wigs ever." Sidebar: Why does Ariana post so many horizontal photos? Is it an effort to curb screen caps and edits? Because if so, it's not working.

In addition to wig-modeling photos and accidental Snapchat previews of her new fragrance, Ariana took time to share her feelings on misogynist double standards in a recent Twitter post. “What I meant when I said what I said about not being Sean’s ex is that I’m tired of living in a world where a woman is referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY / POSSESSION." The singer continued, "I… do not. belong. to anyone. but myself. and neither do you." Well said, Ari.

Do you think Ariana should mix up her look with this wig more often, or do you admire her impossibly thick ponytail and wish it would stay forever? Feel free to let us know in the comments below.
