Kanye West’s 9 Wildest ‘Ye’ Lyrics: Tristan Thompson, #MeToo, Stormy Daniels + More
Early Friday morning (June 1), Kanye West, as promised, delivered his highly anticipated eighth studio album, ye, and hoo boy, is there a lot to dissect.
Across the seven track project, the controversial rapper name drops everyone from Stormy Daniels to Russell Simmons, shares some, um, questionable insights about the #MeToo movement, and addresses his recent string of erratic, headline-grabbing antics. There is even a song entitled "I Thought About Killing You," if that gives you any indication of what other ridiculousness the album might have in store.
To save you from actually listening to the full record (a lot of people have been unstanning West as of late), we parsed ye for its most bonkers lyrics, though really, when it comes to Kanye, would you expect anything less?
Check out the nine wildest below, and keep an eye out for his Kid Cudi collaboration allegedly due out June 8.
- 1
On Tristan & Khloe:
From "All Mine"“All these THOTs on Christian Mingle / That’s what almost got Tristan single / If you don’t ball like him or Kobe / Guarantee that b*tch gon’ leave you.”
Thompson allegedly cheated on Khloé Kardashian multiple times while she was pregnant with their daughter, and here Kanye is to commemorate it in song! I'm sure Khloé is super happy about having that scandal dredged up again.

On His Controversial Slavery Comments:
From "Wouldn't Leave""They say, 'build your own,' I said, 'How, Sway?' / I said, 'Slavery a choice.' They say, 'How, Ye?' / Just imagine if they caught me on a wild day."
Kanye told TMZ he thought slavery was a choice and basically imploded the internet, and he's telling us that wasn't a wild day?

On #MeToo:
From "Yikes"“Russell Simmons wanna pray for me too / I’ma pray for him ‘cause he got #MeToo’d / Thinkin’ what if that happened to me too / Then I’m on E! News.”
Kanye has long dabbled in misogynistic lyricism, but this regressive #MeToo reference, in which he says he'll "pray" for Russell Simmons as he faces multiple rape and sexual misconduct allegations, is one of his most egregious. (Simmons recently penned an open letter to West imploring him to rethink his recent comments about Trump and being black in America).

On This Murder-Suicide Scenario:
From "I Thought About Killing You"“Today I thought about killing you / And I think about killing myself, and I love myself way more than I love you, so."
Given Kanye's history with mental health, this line is more than a little concerning, but also: Can someone check on Kim Kardashian??
- 5
On Women:
From "Yikes"“See this is why all the bitches f--k with Ye / F--k what they talk about / They take me on meds, off meds / Ask your homegirl right now, look, you got a shot at Ye / You drop everything."
Sounds like Kanye's ego is alive and well.
- 6
And One Woman In Particular...
From "All Mine"“If I pull up with a Kerry Washington, that’s gon’ be an enormous scandal / I could have Naomi Campbell and still might want me a Stormy Daniels."
For all the time Kanye has devoted to promoting Donald Trump, Ye is surprisingly devoid of any mention, save for this brief aside about the president's alleged paramour Stormy Daniels.
- 6
On His Mental Health:
From "Yikes"“You see? You see? / That’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout / That’s why I f--k with Ye / That’s my third person / That’s my bipolar s--t / That’s my superpower, n---a ain’t no disability / I’m a superhero! I’m a superhero!"
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...Kanye.
- 8
On Sex:
From "All Mine"“Let me hit it raw like f--k the outcome/ Ay, none of us would be here without cum."
- 9
And On, Well...
From "All Mine"“I love your titties ’cause they prove I can focus on two things at once."
