Katy Perry Shades Meghan Markle’s Wedding Gown: It Could Have Used ‘One More Fitting’

People had a lot of feelings about the royal wedding on Saturday (May 19) — including one very famous pop star turned apparent fashion critic.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Katy Perry not-so-subtly shaded Meghan Markle's Givency dress, saying, “I would have done one more fitting. I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you.”

She also added that she thought Kate Middleton, who married Prince William in 2011 while wearing a lacy Alexander McQueen gown, "won" best dress.

Style dispute aside, though, Perry had a lot of kind words to share about England's newest Duchess.

"I’m so happy for them, and, you know, I don’t know them from Adam, but it’s amazing what she’s doing with all this, her humanitarian efforts," she continue. "You know, the fact that she’s a proud feminist, I love all that. I support her as another woman and love her and wish them both well.”

Perry, who last released 2017's Witness, is currently a judge on American Idol Season 16, which crowns its winner Monday night beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
