Mick Thomson, guitarist of the heavy metal band Slipknot, was reportedly stabbed in the head by his brother, Andrew Thomson, on Wednesday (March 11). According to the Des Moines Register, the brothers were rushed to the hospital after a knife fight that resulted in serious injuries for them both.

Police did not confirm whether the Mick Thomson involved in the fight is a member of the band, but Slipknot's lead singer, Corey Taylor, tweeted to fans, writing, "In regards to the story about Mick, I'm doing the best I can to find out if he's alright. I'll get back to you later."

The Des Moines Register goes on to say that when police arrived on the scene, the brothers were reportedly intoxicated. The fight is said to have started inside their home, but the two eventually wound up on the front lawn where things escalated. Mick was allegedly stabbed in the back of his head.
