South Korean singer Sunmi will release a new single this month.

The 25-year-old K-pop star confirmed Tuesday through her agency, MakeUs Entertainment, that she will return with the solo song "Heroine" on Jan. 18, according to The Korea Herald.

MakeUs Entertainment said Sunmi co-wrote the single and collaborated with The Black Label on the song. The Black Label, a production label under YG Entertainment, previously produced Sunmi's single "Gashina."

Sunmi also shared the news in an Instagram post. She teased the song by posting a clip of water droplets falling onto roses frozen in ice.

Sunmi came to fame with the girl group Wonder Girls, which disbanded in January 2017. She left the group in 2010 and made her solo debut with the single "24 Hours" in 2013. Her first solo EP, Full Moon, debuted the next year.
