Taylor Swift had a happy birthday, and she made her birthday happy for others, too. The 'Red' singer and country crossover donated a whopping $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony on Dec. 13 -- her own 24th birthday.

The Tennessean reports that Swift made the donation on her birthday, though details remain scant. A publicist for the Symphony confirmed the donation.

Swift;s generous donation is much needed. The symphony had a rough 2013, after having a financial crisis earlier this year and almost losing Schermerhorn Symphony Center to foreclosure. In June, the symphony brokered a deal to rescue the space, but more fundraising was necessary to keep it open.

It's not the first generous gesture Swift has granted to the home base for country music. About two months ago, Swift's $4 million donation to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2012 led to the opening of the Taylor Swift Education Center in Nashville. She's a Big Help indeed!
