If you have not yet heard about the Full House sequel that is reportedly in the works, don't even worry about it. In the wise words of Michael Jackson, you are not alone. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen -- you know, the two actresses who were actually in the show -- didn't know about it either.

According to an interview the sisters did with Women's Wear Daily, neither of them had any clue that a sequel was under way. Ouch. Mary-Kate said, "I'm shocked I haven't heard from John [Stamos]." Ashley said she even saw Bob Saget recently, but still had no idea Fuller House was happening. She said, "I ran into Bob the other day and we didn’t even talk about it.”

But not all hope is lost for a Michelle Tanner cameo. Mary-Kate went on to say, "I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening."

Although rumors of the sequel began circulating the Internet a few weeks ago, it wasn't until an appearance on last night's (April 21) episode of Jimmy Kimmel that the news was officially confirmed by John Stamos. Apparently, it's been in the making for quite a while. He said, “We’ve been working on this for many, many years. The original creator Jeff Franklin and Bob Boyett and Tom Miller — we were trying to do some sort of spin-off and we wanted to give credit to the legacy. We didn’t want to just sort of throw it away. So Netflix came around and said ‘Let’s do 13 episodes.’”

It looks like cast details are still being hammered out as Lori Loughlin doesn't even know if she'll be on the show, either. For now we are choosing to remain cautiously optimistic that all our old faves will find their way into the show somehow.
